4. What we don't do

5. Third-party services

Like any website, AffordBase relies on third-party services. They technically receive your IP address and browser details when the page loads their resources:

These services process technical data under their own policies.

6. If you write to us

If you message us on Telegram or by email (for example, to take part in an interview), we will see your username or address. We use it only to reply and arrange the interview, don't copy it into the site's database, and delete the conversation at your request or when the research ends. Interview notes are anonymised: reports contain only figures and quotes without names. The conversation itself is stored by Telegram or your email provider under their rules.

7. How long we keep data

The anonymous data in section 3 is kept until 31 December 2027. After that we delete it or keep only aggregate figures (for example, "8 of 13 templates…").

8. How we use the results

We may publish aggregate, anonymised figures on the site, in reports, and in applications to competitions and grants (for example, MIT Solve).

9. Your rights

You can ask us about data, ask us to delete our correspondence, or withdraw consent at any time using the contacts in section 2. We reply within 15 working days. Anonymous answers can't be linked to a person, so we can't find and delete "your" answer. You may also contact the authorised personal data protection body of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

10. Changes

If we start collecting personal data (for example, user accounts in a pilot), we will update this policy in advance, store such data in the Republic of Kazakhstan as required by Article 12 of the Law "On Personal Data and Their Protection", and ask for your consent. The version date is shown at the top.
